Glass Specifications

Standard Glazing

Our default glass is a double glazed 28mm unit filled with argon gas and surrounded with a warm edge spacer. This glass reflects radiator heat back into the room and acheives an A-Rating as standard

Thermal Upgrade

This is a triple glazed unit and provides better energy efficiency than the standard glazing. The glazing will weigh a third more than standard glass which can make the product heavier to operate.

Acoustic Upgrade

This is an important upgrade if you experience outside traffic or aircraft noise. The acoustic laminated film reduces the decibel level of sound entering the room. There are many different thicknesses which cut out different levels of sound.

Safety Upgrade

This is the same specification as standard glazing except it goes through a toughening process which makes the glass 10 times stronger. We use this glazing for doors, large windows and dangerous locations.

Security Upgrade

Recommended by Police and a requirement for new homes, this glass is laminated to the exterior so that the glazing cannot be penetrated even when broken.

Solar Upgrade

This is a fantastic product for all seasons. It will keep radiator heat in during the winter and reflect heat from the sun out during summer. We recommend this glazing in large glazed areas which are South facing.

Georgian Bar

Colour coded decorative bars within the double glazing. Available in 18mm (standard) or 25mm thickness

Astragal Bar

Surface mounted bar with a duplex bar within the glazing to give the appearance of separate panes of glass. Available in 20mm, 25mm, 31mm (standard) or 41mm

Square Lead

Leaded squares are rolled onto the external surface of the glass and within the glass cavity. Available in 6mm or 9mm (standard) and antique or silver (standard) finish

Diamond Lead

Leaded diamonds are rolled onto the external surface of the glass and within the glass cavity. Available in 6mm or 9mm (standard) and antique or silver (standard) finish

Border Lead

Leaded perimeter which cross at the corners and are rolled onto the external surface of the glass and within the glass cavity. Available in 6mm or 9mm (standard) and antique or silver (standard) finish

Queen Anne Lead

Leaded squares and diamonds are rolled onto the external surface of the glass and within the glass cavity. Available in 6mm or 9mm (standard) and antique or silver (standard) finish

Integral Blinds

Venetian blinds are inside the double glazing so there is no need for cleaning. Available in various colour options and operated by magnets or remote control.

Glass Holes

We can cut square or round holes within glazing to allow for any pets to enter using a glass fitting pet flap.

Stained Glass

We can manufacture bespoke leaded designs with coloured film and bevels to match an original design or to your requirements.
